Lincoln Falana is a rapper, singer, and songwriter residing in the Republic of Ireland. He ventured into music from the age of 8, having become inspired by American rapper, lil Wayne, rapping and performing the rapper's songs, until, eventually, writing and performing his own music.
Lincoln draws his musical inspirations from a host of artisté's, but primarily from Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, JME, and Skepta. His sound has been likened to that of Dave, Drake, and Stormzy. His genres of specialty are hip-hop/rap, trap, pop, and grime.
Lincoln released a 10-track mixtape in autumn 2022 titled 'Frayne's Epiphany'. This year, he released his debut track '5PM in Dundalk' (10/02); with a follow-up single, 'A Youth Named Johnny' (28/04). He is on track to releasing an EP and a couple of other singles, whilst also performing live at different venues.
His debut track, 5PM in Dundalk, received airplay on Dundalk FM, and was included on IMRO and Ragged Cast’s Spotify playlist. His second track, A Youth Named Johnny, received numerous positive responses, along with over 1k views on its accompanying lyric video posted on YouTube, and over 27k views and 4k likes on a clip of the lyric video (including the song) posted on Instagram Reels.
Lincoln has performed at VisionLab’s ‘The Open Mic’ (The Workman's Cellar); IADT’s ‘The Shitemare Before Christmas’ (The Sound House) and ‘Final Year Business Ball’ (Royal Marine Hotel); National Concert Hall, Dublin; before the TU Blanchardstown Afro-Caribbean society; amongst others.
